It has been a long time, but here's a little of what has gone on in the recent months.

Summer in CA:
Vi Pham got married and now she is Vi Mayans :D
which is totally the best thing ever! He is a good man and she's my girl,
so it's all rainbows and bubbles for the whales.
[It's called Whale Trail in the app store - you can thank Julie Hawke for that gem]
Also, Justin and Naomi got married in the last couple of days of our trip.
It was awesome, I love these girls, and I'm so happy for both eternally awesome marriages.
We also went camping with Bruce & Marinda and friends
(Marc, Char, Josh, Jyl, and Quin).
Centerpiece: An amazing display of embers cascading from a red hot shovel.
We hiked, swam, played with fire, reminisced, 360-ed on Marinda's Dad's Sea-Doos,
and successfully kept Bruce from dying a swollen death. Yay!
And this little dumpling, of course.
Many more things were accomplished during our trip. It was wondrous.
Back to HI:
So, most of the stuff we have been doing needs a camera with water capabilities,
which are expensive. So, here are some things we've done out of the water.
Mark came to visit and we went to Pearl Harbor.
None of us had been before; it was fun.
It was historically fascinating.
We probably enjoyed the museums with all the facts and stuff the most.
It's amazing how few details I know about major events.
You always hear the same stories, it was cool to read about the more obscure ones.
The bottom half is what we had for lunch.
It's called He'eia Kea's General Store & Deli.
That deliciosity of dark goop in my lunch plate is LauLau stew. Amazing!
We went on a jungle hike to a waterfall in Laie, it's the Malaekahana Falls trail.
It was raining so no pictures of it, but we picked strawberry guavas (top left)
and lilikoi (passionfruit - top right).
They are wonderfully tasty.
On the bottom left is the 'Iosepa being taken out on Hukilau Beach.
We went for the launching in between classes.
It's a beautiful canoe made with historic tools and with historic materials.
It is kept in the PCC when it is not being used by BYUH.
The bottom right is Glen in super happy mode because that is a fruit from his mission.
It's called "pub" and is a bit weird tasting to me.
The Olomana hike overlooks Kailua to Chinaman's Hat.
It is a beautifully dangerous hike, especially at 3 in the morning.
I am an accounting tutor along with five other awesome people.
So, we decided to plan an accounting outing.
No computations necessary :)
The top middle is a picture of the "Three Peaks" from afar.
There's a bit of rock climbing and it is a sheer drop on either side of the pathway.
We all made it safely and it was glorious.
The hike to the first peak is about two miles (which is the one we went to).
It starts out pretty standard for an Oahu hike, then in the last mile or so,
you climb about 1,400 feet.
After we reached the top and waited for the clouds to blow away, the view was spectacular.
We got there in the dead of night, fog covering our little mountain.
We left with the sun lighting our path and quiet delirium setting in.
Our birthdays are this week and our three year anniversary is shortly thereafter.
We are loving life and hope you are too :)
